I can’t believe it’s August and school is starting back up soon. I remember dreading the school year as a kid, but as an adult, it is one of my favorite times of the year. I’m already looking forward to the shifting seasons and all the fall-inspired art that our artists will create.

With that in mind, mark your calendars for our next art show – October 18! It is quite a ways away but we’re already brainstorming the theme and what art we will include.

The last weekend of July, we had a table at the National Down Syndrome Conference. The National Down Syndrome Society sponsored our table so we got to hang out with their team and meet so many amazing people. We also sold a lot of art, and Happy and Emily did some live drawing! They had such a wonderful time, and I know appreciated all the kind words people had to say about their art.

The below image is our artist Rachel who has really enjoyed printmaking since our printmaking workshop earlier this summer. She makes at least one print every time she’s in the studio these days, and they’re always beautiful. Here she is in process, painting on the plate that she used to make her print.

If you bought an art piece at the show in April, pickup day is coming up on August 11!
