Artmaking in July

We’re back from a small summer break, and our artists are already making more beautiful artwork!

The summer has been a great time for the artists to have free range to experiment and just make the art they want to make. With the show back in April, there was more pressure to get work done in time, but now that we have until October for our next show, artists get to just relax and make art with no agenda. I think that’s the best kind of artmaking!

Yesterday, our founder spoke at UT Southwestern’s ADA (American Disability Act) event! We got to share the story of how Creation Studio came to be as well as spotlight each of our artists’ unique artwork. 3 of our artists attended, and Annabelle was there of course, and it was so special to see the way attendees got excited about what we do. It was an honor to be there.

We also have a table at the National Down Syndrome Conference coming up July 24-26 at the Hilton Anatole here in Dallas. We will be selling art and two of our artists, Happy and Emily, will be at the table and might even do some live painting.

Lots of exciting things happening these days! Please check out our art and merch here on our website, that’s a great way to support us <3
